Leading Parent
Partnership Award

Tweendykes first gained the Leading Parent Partnership Accreditation (LPPA) in 2017 and we gained our reaccreditation in Summer 2020  which is a real testament to the schools dedication to parental engagement.

The LPPA group is committed to developing the partnership between the school, parents and wider agencies. This group is made up of parents, school leaders, teachers and school office staff.

Tweendykes recognises that parents play a crucial role in the development of the whole child and is committed to finding out how to better include parents in the fabric of how the school works, working towards a true model of embedded partnership working.

  • We invite parents to share in a wide range of school celebrations each term, including Christmas carols and show, the Easter bonnet parade, Harvest festival and Sports Day

  • We invite parents to specific events designed so that they can talk together, including our monthly Coffee mornings and termly Mental Health session

  • The school is exploring the use of technology to be able to communicate better with its parents

  • We conduct research with parents to gain their input into key areas of the School Improvement Plan

  • Training sessions are offered to parents, covering such diverse areas as online safety, relationship & sex education and first aid at home

  • Throughout the pandemic Tweendykes continues to involve parents in the schools activities and pride ourselves on our parental enagement.
